We assess security architecture and secure-element design, backup and recovery options, connectivity, open-source status where relevant, supported assets and software ecosystem, setup and everyday usability, price, and meaningful limitations or trade-offs.
For factual specifications and security claims we prioritize official product documentation, manufacturer support material, audit or certification information when available, and reputable independent third-party sources. Information can change after publication, so readers should verify critical specifications with the manufacturer before purchasing or transferring funds.
A hands-on review includes direct experience with the device and its setup or daily workflow. A research-based review evaluates the product using documented evidence without claiming personal use. Comparisons can combine both methods, and the relevant disclosure is shown on the page.
